Ruby Tuesday's Community Give Back to Habitat for Humanity

Make a contribution in support of our rider in the annual Cover Indiana Bike tour!

This was the seventh year that board member (and web "master") Barbara Sehr participated in the 7-day, 350 mile bike tour to raise funds for Habitat for Humanity of the Kokomo Community. Barbara paid a fee to cover the costs of her room and board while on the tour so all donations raised by this effort are used to support the work of our affiliate.

The tour was very successful (SUNNY WEATHER!!) and donations are always welcome. If you send a check, it should be payable to "Habitat for Humanity of the Kokomo Community, INC." , with COVER INDIANA TOUR on the memo line. Mail it to:

Your car donation will support Habitat for Humanity’s local and global mission of eliminating poverty housing and homelessness and save you the time and energy of finding a buyer. By donating a car to our vehicle donation program, you can help Habitat for Humanity of Kokomo build houses in partnership with families in need of a hand up, not a hand out.

and tell them you would like to direct your donation to Habitat for Humanity. The value of the donation on your receipt can be deducted as a charitable donation off your taxes in the year that you make the donation. Habitat for Humanity of the Kokomo Community, Inc. hopes to build three new homes during 2011 and will also undertake small projects such as roof repairs, plumbing, electrical, and wheelchair ramps for homeowners who cannot afford to have such services performed by conventional providers. This service has helped many families who are unable to afford costly repairs that are needed to keep their homes safe and livable. Small project repairs are performed at cost with zero percent interest with a payment plan suitable to the family's income. All donations will support these efforts.
